Firstly, there will be a new patient form that will include relevant medical history, consent form and privacy forms.
On the day, the consultation will include a thorough history in regards to your complaint, a physical exam to confirm that chiropractic is for you and beneficial to your complaint, and if appropriate, a treatment to begin your healing process.
Will I get an adjustment on the first visit?
After proper examination, your chiropractor will determine if your complaint will benefit from chiropractic care and if so, you will usually be treated on the first visit.
Sometimes the chiro may post pone treatment if they wish to send you for further investigations first, such as radiographic imaging, or GP/ specialist consults.
This is up to the practitioner’s best recommendation and assessment if they choose to treat on the first visit.
